Legionella Detection

Legionellaceae are ubiquitous in moist environments. Reservoirs for most outbreaks of disease due to Legionella are contaminated air conditioning cooling towers and potable water distribution systems, the organisms being transmitted by air. Legionella are also present in non-disease aquatic environments, such as lakes, streams, reservoirs and sewage.
