  • This is an alternate set of counting rules for the NIOSH 7400 Method that is perhaps more appropriate for the measurement of specific non-asbestos fiber types such as fibrous glass.
  • The counting rules limit the upper diameter of fibers to 3 microns.  This prevents the measurement of non-thoracic fibers.
  • Sample retention time is 60 days
