Title Answers for Residents of California Wondering If Something in Their Home Is Causing Allergies
Introduction LA Testing offers indoor environmental quality testing services, sampling supplies and test kits to identify common indoor allergens, asthma triggers and respiratory irritants.

Huntington Beach, CA, September 16th, 2020

Millions of people in California suffer from allergies and many regularly use over-the-counter (OTC) medications or prescription drugs to alleviate their symptoms. While these do provide temporary relief, if the condition lasts for days on end, allergy sufferers should also consider what allergens they might be exposed to in their own home.

Allergens can readily be found in the natural outdoor environment, but there are also many that can be present indoors that can be addressed if recognized. By identifying their presence, proactive measures can be taken to dramatically reduce a person’s exposure to them by dealing with the allergen source.

“People can develop allergies to many substances,” said Joseph Frasca, Senior Vice President of Marketing at LA Testing. “Allergic reactions to indoor allergens are quite common and can occur in sensitive people if these allergens are breathed, touched or ingested. It’s also quite common for some people to be allergic to more than one indoor allergen, and repeated or long-term exposure to any of them may worsen the condition.   Some of the more common allergens that impact indoor environmental quality (IEQ) come from mold, pet dander, cockroaches, rodents, dust mites, pollen, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and even latex. Fortunately, there are IEQ tests, and even easy-to-use test kits, to identify many of these allergens in a home, school or office.”

The IEQ experts at LA Testing offer laboratory testing services, sampling supplies and test kits to identify environmental allergens, asthma triggers and respiratory irritants. They have even sponsored an educational video about people’s homes and indoor allergens that can be seen at: https://youtu.be/RezGD8hJGIg.
