EMSL Analytical, Inc. and its two Southern California laboratories operating under the LA Testing name have been awarded a significant contract from the California Occupational Safety & Health Administration (Cal-OSHA). EMSL and LA Testing will be providing the state government agency with IH&S related laboratory services.
The previous contract over had also been serviced by EMSL and the new contract that was just awarded provides for a new 2 year contract with a 1 year extension. The decision by Cal-OSHA was the result of the company’s proven commitment to provide quality IH laboratory services to state of California. Samples submitted to LA Testing/EMSL under this contract will be for samples collected statewide by Cal-OSHA and/or it’s authorized IH Professionals.
The contract terms commenced August 15, 2007 and will run through June 30, 2009. EMSL is providing the majority of analytical support from their LA Testing laboratory facility in Los Alamitos which specializes in laboratory analysis for industrial hygiene and indoor air quality testing. Additional support services may come from EMSL corporate headquarters or from the other 27 EMSL facilities nationwide.
